EUROCON 2013

he European Science Fiction Convention, Eurocon-2013, will take place in Kiev from 11 to 14 April 2013. This will be the 35th occasion when science fiction fans and professionals from all over Europe gather to communicate with each other, to exchange their experience and just to have fun in the course of four days.

Ukrainian authors, editors and readers are frequent attendees of such events. And now – for the second time already – Kiev hosts the Eurocon.

We have drafted the vast programme in Ukrainian, English and Russian. Attendees from 21 countries are taking part, including Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Sweden and USA. We are planning to run panels and speeches on science fiction in literature and cinema, art show, film demonstrations, literary master classes and seminars, board gaming tournament. A separate children’s programme is prepared: picture and costume contests, carnival, children’s master classes.

And certainly all Eurocon-2013 attendees will be able to meet and communicate with noted authors taking part in the convention as guests.
